Frequently Asked Questions

Where do you get your Blythe dolls?

eBay, and one from Junie Moon! I've never had a bad experience with buying one via eBay. I just look for a seller that has made lots of sales and has good feedback. As you might know, I overwhelmingly favor stock dolls, so I can't speak as to custom dolls and individual sellers.

Why did you stop making YouTube videos?

Mental health reasons, mostly.

Another reason is that I felt a lot of pressure to have a regular and constant upload schedule. To pump out content, essentially. I never meant to be a YouTuber. I just used YouTube to host content for my blog. I'm a people pleaser so I really wanted to make videos when people asked me to. But I found myself neglecting my dolls and associated creative hobbies, so it impacted me negatively in that sense.

I got a lot of people asking me to answer their Blythe-related questions. I'm not an expert or anything!! But making YouTube videos put me in the position of answering a lot of questions, made me some people's go-to for advice, and put me on a content-creation hamster wheel.

Making videos is really time-consuming, so it's just going to be something I do when I am in the mood.

Would you ever reupload your old YouTube videos? (Hair washing tutorial, closet clean-out, unboxing, etc?)

Probably not. I only intend to keep the Dolly Dressup videos public. But I might post some random Blythe-related YouTube videos in the future :) And I'll probably post unboxings if I get any new dolls.
